Lucky Hall Of Famer Number 37 - Leo Durocher

Leo Durocher made the Hall of Fame as a manager in 1994. He won 2,008 games, but also lost 1,709 for a career winning percentage of just .540. This is not a Hall of Fame number. Additionally, Durocher was nicknamed "The Lip" because he couldn't keep his mouth shut, and he often let the umpires have it when he disagreed with a call. As a result, he was ejected 100 times, the third most of all time.
Most importantly, Durocher was suspended for the entire 1947 season by commissioner Happy Chandler for associations with known gamblers. Look at what happened with Pete Rose, a man who actually did have Hall of Fame worthy credentials. He was kicked out of baseball for life. Durocher, despite his bad reputation and low winning percentage, did make the Hall of Fame, and right when the Pete Rose story was big news.

My opinion: Leo Durocher is not a Hall of Famer.
